MUSIC FEEDBACK:

  • "It's has a calming vibe but once it hits the 3 minute mark and picks up energy it reminds me personally a lot of Iron Maiden a few riffs sound like they are Iron Maiden influenced and the overall emotion of the track definitely leaves a high bar of expectations for the rest of the album which I definitely will be purchasing" -Brandon U.S.A.

  • “I absolutely loved this piece of music! Everything recorded so well, a great recording...everything very tight. The drums, guitar and bass all locked in well and the lead guitar, well I have to say it was a magnificent sound and played fantastic! This is one piece of music to be very proud of. Anyone can listen to this and like it! It's a very mesmerizing piece of music. Great in quality and volume! Keep it up!” - Piper Sin (Multi-Instrumentalist) U.S.A.

  • “Wooow the first thing I noticed from this instrumental is that the production Is on point and well mixed and mastered. I love the way you play the guitar it really made me feel very excited listening to this masterpiece and the instrumental sounds very great, nice one.” -Ebukizu (Musician and Producer) Nigeria

  • “Wow. The song just blew my mind. You got a nice fusion between dramatic music and straight rock. Also, you got a nice dynamics. You know where to get soft and hard on the track. The guitar solo are so good and very very meaty licks. I get this mix vibe of amazed and sad at the same time because of the dramatic effects.” -Paashii T. (Audio Engineer & Guitarist) Philippines

  • “I enjoyed the energy of this track! great Tune! Everything is nicely mixed, loved the setting of this song the whole drums and specially the guitar performance.” -Joseph S. (Producer and Musician) Brazil

  • “This has lots of great production aspects and does a good job working a melody amongst an instrumental bed but some great performances for sure and mice production” -Mark S. (Solo Recording Artist) U.S.A.

  • “Incredible work! Congratulations on the song, I loved it! I love instrumental guitar music. Awesome melody, great playing and great sounds!” -Andrea M. (Musician and Guitarist) Italy

  • “Some Really Amazing Guitar Playing in This One. Love the Touch Dynamics and Micro-Bends and Slides - Great Phrasing All Around. Arrangement of the Track Seems Great as Well, and Very Nicely Done Layering of the Keyboards and Guitars. Love the Fact That the Whole Track Has Dynamics, Rather Than Being on 11 All the Time as in a Lot of Music Today, Especially Harder Rock. Great Work!” -Chain The Sun (Band) Croatia

  • “The guitar and the piano parts in the piece are played really well. I know it's not a holiday song.. but it has a very "wide" sound sonically, like Trans-Siberian orchestra.” -Tom (Audio Engineer & Composer)

  • “Extremely well executed intensely expressive emotional song. Very interest change overs in some places and everything fit so wonderfully! Very well done! Very clean track!!” -Karen W. (Musician & Songwriter) California, USA

  • “Flawless instrumental song, well orchestrated and with so much flavors due to the variation of atmosphere. The construction of the track is very clever, I was never bored because of the changing of energy and sensations the piece gives to the listener. The stop at 2:55 is wonderful. The whole sound is wraparound, the mixing and mastering are gorgeous. I like in particular the use of strings and the accuracy of guitaring. Drumming is nice as well. Top class work, congrats.” -Giorgio F. (Violinist & Composer) Italy

  • “Cuando alguien se sienta a escribir una canción, a buscar lo mejor en su contenido, es cuando se dan obras magistrales como estas. Que intro, que Ostinato en su comienzo, cuando adornan la armonía, que tema tan bien hecho. Felicidades” -Heiner G. (Session Bassist) Bogotá, Colombia

  • “I Perceive so Much Musicianship from This I Instrumental Track I Loved Everything Going On. the Guitars Are Incredible, Soulful, Shredding, the Harmonies at the End Are so Rocking! ; the Piano Arpeggios and Pad Arrangements Are Very Good; Rhytmic Section Is Punchy and Thight; Song Structure Is Very Cool and Dynamic. I Felt like Inside of a Heroic Videogame, It Made Me Feel Delighted and Rebellious. Awesome Job!” -Ivan R. (Guitarist) Tuscan, USA

  • “This instrumental is brimming over with emotion from a relatively mellow bluesy start reminiscent of Peter Green era Fleetwood Mac through to a full on Iron Maiden style metal onslaught from around the three minute mark. Khiev’s playing is impeccable perfection personified and his sonic influence may come from the likes of Joe Satriani. This is a truly uplifting piece of music.” -justwilliam1959 (Music reviewer from “With Just A Hint Of Mayhem)

For Travesties from Closure. I wanted to capture a very vocal, and sweet mid centric tone for the leads for this single release. After doing extensive research and going down the abyss of YouTube videos. (Laughs) A couple of hours past and decided to take a small break and found a playlist of classic rock and listened to all of my guitar hero’s as a kid. That’s when the Queen documentary popped up on my YouTube feed and after listening to Brian May describe his thought process and approach with guitar and tones. It convinced me to look into the VOX line of amplifiers and low and behold! I managed to trade for an entry level AC15C1. I was immediately impressed with how well it captured the right hand articulation in extreme detail both good and the bad. (Laughs) All I added was a stock Ibanez TS808 mini made in Japan as a boost and that was the tone I wanted and immediately tracked with it. #TravestiesFromClosure

And so it begins…

This sonic composition was stuck in limbo for quite a while and I was struggling to complete it at its full potential. So, I stopped writing all together to try and give the creative mindset somewhat of a break to comeback with a fresh set of ideas. Shortly after I ended up picking up some session work for a project in Osaka Japan called Deathtopia which my buddy Mune is writing a new album for and they needed a lead guitarist to throw down the shreds if you will. (Laughs) So, I thought it was perfect timing and decided to pick up the position and do just that!

After tracking with Deathtopia. That’s when the world went into utter chaos with the Covid19 pandemic looming over the world. We were quarantined for months on end trapped in our own thoughts. Brick and mortar stores were closed except for a select few that were deemed “essential” and on top of that. We had a nationwide civil rights movement taking place due to an unjustified murder from the very thing that was supposed to protect us.

Tension rose and people of ethnicity along with various allies broke out of quarantine in order to protest against the unjust murder of George Floyd under a movement labeled as #BlackLivesMatter to bring awareness to police brutality in America. You could say that these chains of events is what fueled me to complete “Travesties from Closure” on the 9th of June year 2020. This song is dedicated to this very moment, and I'll sign off with this.
