Build Quality:
The build quality is top notch and every component has been carefully selected for durability and functionality. This Powered By Omega Extended 2x12 features a Duratex coating on the exterior instead of tolex that we're used to seeing on traditional cabs. Duratex really helps seal in the cab for a tight controlled low-end response, and aesthetically just looks down right bad ass. I also really like the speaker’s multi-adapter via Speakon & ¼ inch jack, that’s mounted on a heavy duty all metal plate. It'll definitely stand the test of time. The grill cloth was applied perfectly with even tension distributed throughout the front bezel and was aligned perfectly on the edge. A very important detail to prevent any “washy-ness” while recording. The front module is also removable for easy speaker replacement or if the user desires custom grill cloth graphics for a new album release, music video...etc. Overall the build quality is hands down amazing!
Tonal Qualities:
The speakers chosen for this cab is a perfect marriage between the Eminence Man O War, and CV-75. The Man O War has a hairy, throaty, textured quality to it, but with extremely punchy low end. While the CV-75 being very clear with detailed highs and a smooth mid-range makes for a wonderful combination indeed.
Conclusion:
I highly recommend Powered By Omega. They offer so much, and are more than willing to help educate their customers to achieve a desired tone. Overall I give this extended 2x12 a
10 out of 10!
