INTRODUCTION:

Goreblaster Electronics is custom effects pedals and audio electronics, as well as guitar amplifier repairs and service, by Goreblaster Korpse-Harvest Lunden, an MIT PhD candidate in atomic physics and guitarist for The Beast of Nod.

BUILD QUALITY & FEATURES:

The HH-1 can definitely take a beating on a pedal board, with a retro punk aesthetic to boot. The Hyperanal Hyperdrive features a "Tone" knob on the upper right, "Gain" knob on the upper left, and a cast molded skull knob for the "Volume". As cute as the skull knob may be. I would rather it have a regular knob or perhaps a decal of a skull that illuminates in the dark on a regular knob with a complimentary illuminating indicator for dialing on the fly, very similar to the MXR Carbon Copy delay pedal. Hopefully when a production model is established Goreblaster Electronics will offer custom graphics for their future customers, But since this is a prototype I'll let the aesthetics portion slide for this review "laughs".

TONAL QUALITIES:

The HH-1 is based off of the smoother TS-808 Tubescreamer instead of the more aggressive Maxon OD808 which I prefer. Tonality wise this overdrive is very pleasing for players looking to sculpt their high gain tone. I was quite surprised on how well this tighten everything up. It has a low noise shelf, and adds a refined attack when the "Tone" knob is generously added when boosting a high gain channel for more definition. Overall I give the HH-1 an

8.5 out of 10

Really looking forward to future revisions!
